MAPFRE has achieved the maximum rating under the United Nations Global Compact on issues of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for six consecutive years.

The United Nations evaluated the company’s initiatives and progress in complying with the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact, which cover aspects such as human and labor rights and environmental conservation, among others.

This rating also recognizes the company’s contribution to the 2030 Agenda and to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, positioning MAPFRE as an example of a company that embodies best practices in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility.

This accolade has been obtained on the basis of an anual  Social Responsibility progress report drown up by the company and the renewal of its commitment to this initiative.

Both the Annual CSR Report and MAPFRE’s Integrated Report are published on the New York Global Compact website (New York), an initiative that brings together leading figures from the business, academic, government sectors, as well as civil society and United Nations itself.

The objective is to speed up the actions and necessary alliances to reach the sustainable development objectives set down in the 20/30 agenda. With more than 13,000 signatory entities in more than 145 countries, it is the largest voluntary corporate social responsibility initiative in the world.
