Solidarity in Turkey to embrace the whole world
Fundación MAPFRE has collaborated in the National Relief Campaign “Biz Bize Yeteriz”, organized by the country’s presidency through the Turkish Insurers Association, in order to donate protection and health materials to groups that need it.
The entity has also launched an ambitious initiative to help people over 65. In this sense, it provided 500 elderly people residing in the four Darüşşafaka centers in the country, and their caregivers, protection material, such as glasses, gloves, masks, gowns and respirators, as well as medical material (masks, sanitary aprons, disinfectants and respirators, among others) to about a thousand people who live in Darülaceze Institution, ANT Sanatçı Yaşamevi. The Beşir Akınal clinics in Istanbul have also benefited from these grants.
Additionally, Fundación MAPFRE has ordered 40,000 visors from a local manufacturer and donated them to the Istanbul Health authorities for distribution to various hospitals in the city.
These actions, explains the entity in Turkey, are a reflection of the contribution with which the Foundation “embraces” the entire world.
