Fundación MAPFRE allocates 345,000 euros for healthcare equipment and food supplements in Nicaraguan nursing homes

To help prevent the spread of coronavirus in Nicaragua, Fundación MAPFRE has recently delivered medical and personal protective equipment, as well as food supplements, worth 345,000 euros to various nursing homes in Chinandega, Corinto, León, Jinotega, Matagalpa and Estelí, among other municipalities in the country.

The delivery was made by Fundación MAPFRE volunteers, who wanted to “help protect those people who spend their days caring for the elderly, support their work and ensure their safety. We want them to know that they’re not alone,” they explained.

These actions form part of Fundación MAPFRE’s global aid plan to donate 35 million euros to the most vulnerable groups to help protect against and fight the pandemic and minimize the impact of this crisis.
