New appointments in MAPFRE and its subsidiaries

The MAPFRE Board of Directors have approved the following appointments, which are intended to advance the configuration of the new management model for the Group

Antonio Huertas, Chairman and CEO of MAPFRE, has highlighted that “we compete in a global environment, with a client that is increasingly more digital, and we are adapting our activity to offer the best response to these challenges, doing so with maximum efficiency and, additionally, in a way that is in line with the best practices of corporate governance.”

 

 

Main appointments

Corporate Areas

Rafael Senén
In the Corporate Business and Clients Area, Rafael Senén is appointed General Manager; until now, he has been chairman and CEO of MAPFRE ASISTENCIA.
Elena Sanz
In the Corporate HR Area, Elena Sanz, current Deputy General Manager, is appointed General Manager.
Fernando Mata
In the Corporate Strategy and Development Area, its current Deputy General Manager, Fernando Mata, is now appointed General Manager.

Business Units

Ignacio Baeza
In MAPFRE ASISTENCIA, Ignacio Baeza, until now the Territorial CEO of MAPFRE Iberia, has been appointed chairman and CEO.
Alberto Berges
Also, Alberto Berges, until now Deputy General Manager of the Corporate Business and Clients Area, has been appointed General Manager and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of MAPFRE ASISTENCIA.

Vicente Imbroda Santamaría and Ana Isabel Fernández are added as external directors of the Board of Directors of MAPFRE ASISTENCIA.

In the GLOBAL RISKS Unit, the international structure is reinforced with the addition of Bosco Francoy as the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of MAPFRE GLOBAL RISKS. Francoy was until now the Regional Manager of LATAM for MAPFRE RE.

Antonio Gómez Ciria, Ana Isabel Fernández and María Luisa LachagaUría are now independent directors of the Board of Directors of MAPFRE GLOBAL RISKS.

Jose Manuel Inchausti
El CEO Regional de Iberia (España y Portugal), Jose Manuel Inchausti, ha sido nombrado también CEO Territorial, en sustitución de Ignacio Baeza.

In addition, the Board of MAPFRE SPAIN, a company that integrates the entire Non-Life business in the country, has three new external directors: Vicente Imbroda Santamaria, RufinoOrejas Rodríguez-Arango and Antonio Gómez Ciria.
