MAPFRE holds its ranking as the eighth most reputable company in Spain, according to the MERCO report
Antonio Huertas moves up to number 11 in the ranking of Spanish leaders, and MAPFRE is the only insurer in the Top 10.
MAPFRE remains in position number 8 in the ranking of companies with the best reputation in Spain in the latest edition of the Merco Report (Spanish Monitor on Corporate Reputation), which compiles this ranking of the 100 companies and leaders with the best reputation in Spain.
MAPFRE was awarded a total of 7,434 points in this edition and continues to be the only Spanish insurer that appears in the Top 10 of the classification and also leads the industry ranking.
For his part, Antonio Huertas, MAPFRE’s chairman and CEO, has once again improved his position in the ranking of Spanish leaders with the best reputation. With a total of 5,874 points, this year he was ranked number 11, improving four positions compared to 2019, a year in which he also improved by two positions.
This report is produced on the back of an analysis of more than 44,500 respondents, including opinion leaders, journalists, NGOs, unions, consumer associations, financial analysts, and professors. Merco is the benchmark corporate monitor in Spain and Latin America, and has been evaluating the reputation of companies since 2000.
Among the aspects that are taken into account to prepare this report are economic results, ethical behavior, transparency, good corporate governance, commitment to the environment, quality of work and commercial offering.
