MAPFRE appoints Jesús Martínez Castellanos as Regional CEO of LATAM North
The MAPFRE Executive Committee has appointed Jesús Martínez Castellanos as the new Regional CEO for the LATAM North Area, replacing José Ramón Tomás Forés who retires at the end of this year.
Jesús Martínez Castellanos will coordinate his new responsibilities as Regional CEO for Latam North and Chairman of the Latam North Regional Management Committee with those of CEO for MAPFRE MEXICO, a position he has held since 2015.
He has a degree in Economics and Business Sciences and he is an Insurance Actuary. He joined MAPFRE in 1989 and since then has occupied a number of positions, most prominently as Manager of the Companies Division of MAPFRE VIDA and Commercial and Marketing General Manager in this same company.
Jesús Martínez Castellanos has also been General Manager for Business in MAPFRE VIDA, Managing Director of MAPFRE EMPRESAS and Third Vice Chairman of the Spain and Portugal Insurance Division. In 2014 he was appointed General Manager for Business and Clients in MAPFRE Spain and since 2015 he has been the CEO of MAPFRE MEXICO.
