One of the Global Compact programs focuses on encouraging companies to play their part in achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). This initiative promotes the following eight goals related to human rights and social development, and which were set down in 2000 by UN member countries and which must be achieved by the year 2015.

In the course of its ongoing business activities, MAPFRE contributes to the achievement of some of these goals. Below are some key action lines:
